Although i absolutely adore summer, fall still manages to pull through as my favorite season. There are many reasons for this decision. For instance, in the fall comes football... which means dawg saturday... (: and then there is fall fashion! I love the sweaters and scarves and boots... not the heavy winter kind but the 50 degrees and sunny kind. hahah and then there is starbucks, because it is not nearly as fun to get a hot drink on a hot day! and then there is my birthday (meh) which really isn't my favorite because it involves a heavy dosage of unnecessary attention and usually some disappointment. but then there is halloween!!! and i LOVE halloween, i am already thinking of what i should be this year !! and then there is thanksgiving. yum.
needless to say it is AMAZING. and i love it. can't believe my senior year in college starts in a week and a half.

Summer love (:
Where to start....
2 of my very best friends are tying the knot this summer, they both found their perfect match and I could not be happier for them! So I guess that sort of sums up the title of this blog post, because unfortunately I have not had much luck in the love department! Not to say I have not tried.... Or kind of tried.... Do first dates count? I have plenty of those, but for some reason I can't help but be completely uninterested in all of the guys here! They are always either selfish, egotistical, immature, or simply unable to let loose and have a good time, I haven't lost all hope yet though (:
Aside from that form of love, I can absolutely say that I am in love with summer! Nothing beats the summers in Seattle (: , whether it's hiking, floating the river, BBQ, having a bonfire, going on the lake or just being able to strip down to shorts and a tshirt, nothing is better.
Also, the Mariners beat the Yankees last night in the 8th inning with a grand slam (: final score: 4 to 1. Couldn't be happier!

hawaii!!
i just got back from hawaii a couple of days ago and i want to go back SOO bad. I was there for 2 weeks- first week staying at one of my VERY best friend Emily's house on the North Shore of Oahu, SOOO amazing!! The week after I was in Kauai at my family's condo with the rest of my family. It was exactly what i needed, i hung out with em, we hiked, i learned how to surf, we went beach hopping, i got to see my sister/bro-in-law and my niece and nephews, and i went snorkeling with a ton of exotic fish, saw some turtles and some seals. It was pretty perfect. i am planning on moving to the North Shore after graduation though so that will be fantastic (: It was really weird trying to get back into the swing of things but i have managed so far. My teachers were both really nice about me missing the first week of the quarter which was a HUGE relief. They are also both hilarious, which makes going to school in the evening WAY easier. Besides that the kids that I nanny for have been absolutely adorable this week! I missed them all so much!! It was sooo great seeing my friends too!! I have the most AMAZING people in my life! I am so spoiled!!!
On a side note: i am fairly positive i gave myself a minor concussion today. i feel very concussed. i slammed my head on a door handle when i was picking up a 2-year-old. It was just about as pleasant as it sounds. (: hahaha oh well, life goes on! c'est la vie?

my favorite things (:
these are a few of my favorite things (:
-my BEAUTIFUL niece Alayna... who i love dearly.
-my HANDSOME nephews Connor, Braydon, and Gianni... such gentlemen.. (:
-soy hot chocolate with hazelnut (sbucks makes it the best)
-soy mate lattes
-disneyland. <3
-sunshine
-the smell of rain
-stargazing
-lilies, peonies, hydrangeas, red roses, and orchids
-the colors red & turquoise
-my family and their incredibly strange sense of humor
-peanut butter m&m's,
-dove chocolate (best you can get at QFC)
-godiva chocolate- especially hazelnut truffles (my ultimate preference)
-baking, cookies, cakes, cobblers..etc.
-creating new recipes
-cheesecake factory (jamaican black peppered shrimp= DELICIOUS)
-sleeping in my own bed
-buying new clothes
-anthropologie & urban outfitters.
-blue c sushi
-swiss mushroom philly cheese steak (: sooo good.
-thai toms
-listening
-being optomistic
-happy uplifting music
-singing incredibly loud when i am all by myself hah basically the only time i am not nervous (:
-exercising
-day-dreaming
-taking care of my friends/ the children i nanny for & niece and nephews/ my family
-my puppies.
-learning/exploring new things/talents. (like my wonderful rose painting hahah)
-watching romantic movies and living vicariously through them (:
-reading the Book of Mormon (:

summer blissss
hahah cheesy titles, my favorite. this summer has been perfect. SOO much sunshine, and so many visits with people that i love and have missed during the long school year. i need to start an online independent study course soon (aka now so i can finish before fall qtr starts when i will have 20 credits [kill me]) so i will be on track to graduate next spring but i am dreading it sooo much! it has felt so good to be completely free of responsibility & expenses for a month and a half (i start working again this week). working is a bonus, because i could really use the extra cash, with my bank account dwindling and especially with rent creeping on me slowly (due sept. 1st). regardless of alll of these upcoming deadlines, i cannot complain. i have not been this happy since long before i can remember, and i would not trade this for anything!
you know when you feel like there is a huge gaping void that you can't seem to fill? for once everything is completely perfect, and there is nothing that i could really ask for to make anything better. i never thought that i would be where i am at now a year ago, and i am SO grateful i have such amazing family & friends. i seriously love them all so much.
my plans for tomorrow (last day of freedom):
- wake up early
- go running
- clean room
- put clothes in laundry
- lake with tress (prime sun hours)
- seeing all of my favorite people!!!!

i love the rain (:
its so hard to move, even when most of your stuff is being stored in the garage! haha i shouldn't complain, ever. i do think that i am killing my back though, im probably just lifting things wrong but i definitely need to go to the chiropractor. needless to say that is what i have been doing this past week ishh, and now i am at home in issaquah. most of my clothes/shoes are still in seattle bc i need my truck to go pick them up and someone decided it would be awesome to let out the air in my truck tire! sooo rude! hahaha its all good though thats what AAA is for.
okay now i am going to go clean my house. not as easy as cleaning the townhouse as it is about 10 times the size. but my mother is out of town, and my dad is at work till 6 so SOMEONE has to do it (its really not that messy- it never gets messy)! again, no complaints.
at least its friday (:
